We all consume some or the other beverage everyday . From morning cup of tea or coffee over conversation or a glass of wine at a party we keep sipping something or the other.
Many of us are also addicted to these beverages especially tea & coffee. I often meet people who say that cannot start their day without tea or coffee.
Some say these beverages aren't good for health while some say its okay to have them. So here in this post I am sharing with you guys what these beverage do to us! I have collected facts about the common beverages we consume namely , tea , coffee and wine.
Tea
There are many many types of teas apart from the normal milk tea most of us consume . However the importance of other herbal teas is known and accepted by many in the last few years.
White tea , green tea , lemon tea, black tea is really good for health if you have it in a right quantity and of right quality.These herbal and organic teas can help in digestion , boost brain , fight stress etc..
Milk tea- Adding milk and sugar to your tea can reduce the tea benefits and in fact cause more harm than good. Milk tea or masala chai has many side effects on our body.
Side effects of milk tea
- Increase in weight
- Acidity
- indigestion
- cholesterol imbalance
- leads to diabetes
- reduces antioxidant properties of tea.
- affects iron absorption.
Tea-Healthy / Unhealthy??
Tea is healthy unless added milk or sugar in it. We can safely have 4-5 cups of herbal /organic teas.
Coffee.
Coffee is known to boost our attention level and help us stay awake during exams but it also has various side effects if you are really addicted to coffee and drink more than 2 cups a day.
Side effects of coffee
- Ulcers and acidity
- Problems in digestion
- Releases stress hormones
- Reduces absorption of nutrients from diet.
- Insomnia and dizziness
Drinking coffee itself is not a problem but adding milk and sugar to it can cause the above mentioned problems. Black coffee is good for health and provides a good amount of vitamins and potassium.
Let it be coffee or tea never have it empty stomach or pre-breakfast as the first thing( after you wake up) that goes into your system should be healthy.
Never have Tea and coffee while study during exams or working late night .
Too much consumption will also lead to dehydration.
Wine
Wine is recommended for a good skin and a healthy heart but its in an addictive substance as it contains alcohol.
Problems associated with excessive consumption of wine
- Alcoholism
- Sleep deficiency
- Obesity
- Blood pressure
Wine healthy / unhealthy??
We all know that alcohol is good for health if we drink in moderation. Wine gives you a good skin a healthy heart and better nerves. It can cause alcoholism for some addictive personalities . It is better to avoid wine as these properties are also found in red grapes and blue berries ;) :D
