                                                    BASE MAKEUP



1)CTM

Cleanse ,tone and moisturize your skin at least 3 to 5 minutes before you start with your makeup . It really important to thoroughly clean your face so that your makeup looks fresh . We can't paint on a dirty canvas right?

                                               

2) Primer.

I never knew the importance of a primer till I joined my make up school. Primer will add perfection to your make up by smoothening your fine lines, open pores and wrinkles. It will make your foundation long lasting. Gel or liquid based primer can be used.
Gel- matte finish (oily skin )
Cream or liquid based -dry skin

3)Concealing

Can be used before or after foundation but I prefer using it before applying foundation. Concealers are supposed to be used only on face problems like dark circles ,pigmentations or acnes & not on the entire face. I'll be briefly explaining concealer application in my next post.

4)Foundation

This Is the most important step in make up. It will even out skin and hide imperfections.  You can choose a liquid, cream ,powder ,pancake , mousse foundation depending on your skin type and the coverage you need. Start the application from the center  of your face and blend it well with a brush , sponge or your finger ..whatever your comfortable with .

5)Contouring and Highlighting.

Helps to enhance your features and cheek bones , gives an illusion of a symmetric face and  makes your nose and jawline look sharper .

In the last you can apply a compact press powder , translucent or a loose powder. It will give a final touch to your base make up.

                                                    COLOR MAKEUP

6)Eye make up
 steps:
a) eye shadow
b)eye liner
c) kajal
d)mascara
e) eyebrow pencil

           

7)Cheeks
a)Apply a blush
b)bronzer
Adds definition to contouring & highlights the cheek bones . You can also  apply bronzer on your forehead & jawline. Choose a bronzer 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone.

fair skin - matte bronzer
dusky skin - shimmer bronzer

Bonus tip : For arm , legs or any exposed area you can use Bronzer + baby oil + moisturizer and spread evenly.

8) Lipstick
Makes lips appear fuller and defines the lip shape.
